We Create Together

We’re about simple, deliciously comfortable clothes that speak to the heart of childhood. Our collection is made from soft, wearable fabrics. We limit the trim, buttons, and zippers to maximize comfort and stand up to hard play. The pieces are versatile and designed to be layered and (mis-) matched. Many are reversible or convert into another garment, great for quick changes when kids inevitably dirty one side. The endless combinations create looks that are unique yet wearable. Playful designs and artistic touches appeal to the edges of children’s imaginations.  Our designs come to life in the Lowcountry of South Carolina, and neve / hawk is proud to source American made fabrics and employ stateside sew shops and manufacturers.made in the usa south carolina

Is it work if we love doing it?

Technically, yes, but how incredibly lucky are we to follow our dreams and create a life we love? – for us, for our children? Our creative process is collaborative and each garment is lovingly hand finished in our studio... Bob hand screen printing and Kris sewing details while our kids, Neve and Shep, embody kid-created chaos and provide endless inspiration and deep belly laughs. We are just living (and loving) our dream, and that means EVERYTHING!

  • Our Inspiration

The photo above is of my (Kris') mom, taken when she was a toddler, a lifetime before she lost her battle to cancer. In this picture -- unknowing of the struggles her adult self would face -- she is experiencing that pure and uninhibited joy that comes so naturally to children but tends to evade us as we get older. This is our inspiration, CHILDLIKE JOY: to cultivate it, celebrate it in our kids, and convey it in our clothing designs.

  • Gratitude

Through Kickstarter, a new internet-based way to fund creative endeavors, our dream for launching a full children’s collection spread far and wide. We have a lot of amazing people to thank for their support and generosity and we are forever grateful.
